Edible Arrangements: Chocolate Strawberries & Apples and baskets of fruit accompanied by a breakfast of pancakes, eggs w/ cheese, bacon and sausage. Balloons and little post it notes littered the house, telling her how much we loved her.

That is what my mother woke up to this morning. I’m cooking dinner later. Although this shouldn’t be a once a year thing, today is Mother’s Day.

To all the mothers, I hope you have the best, most awesome-est day.

To all the children, I hope you are making your mom’s day the best, most awesome-est day.

I love my mom with everything in me. We have fun together. She is my rock, my foundation for 24 solid years. No ONE can replace that feeling of having Mommy to run to.

Special shout out to the mother of my fallen friend, Timothy. I love her to pieces. She is the strongest female matriarch that I know outside my own family. Thank you for being such a presence in my life since his passing.

Again, Happy Mother’s Day. I hope your day was as lovely as mine is.
