I didn’t know this, but last month, Yvette Wilson, who is better known as Andell from the hit shows Moesha and The Parkers, announced that she was battling stage 4 cervical cancer in an effort to raise funds to help with medical expenses. To date, she’d raised about $14,000 of the $25,000 she needed, but sadly, she passed before she could reach that goal.
The news was broke by actress and friend Shar Jackson via twitter.
I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home.
Yvette will be remembered for her comedic role as Andell, and for her roles in the all time classics Poetic Justice, House Party 3 and Friday.

That’s so sad to hear. Me and my eldest daughter loved her “Andell” character. May she rest in peace and thanks for sharing as being in the UK means we don’t get news on minor black celebrities.
